Black holes- All information related to black hole|Technospace

A black hole is a region in space with a strong gravitational field. The gravity of the Black Hole is so strong that nothing escapes from it, not even light, the fastest thing in the space. Any thing that gets too close gets sucked in.

● The concept of black hole was first proposed by Albert Einstein in 1915 to explain the theory of general relativity.

Stellar black holes are formed at the end of the life of a red giant star which is three times as large as our Sun.

Cygnus X-1 is the nearest known black hole in the outer space. It is located about 8000 light years away.

Sagittarius A in the centre of Milky Way is probably a massive black hole of about a million solar masses.

● Black holes can only be detected by x-ray satellites.

● The term black hole was coined by American scientist John Archibald Wheeler in 1979.

Can black hole suck air ?

Black holes are formed in space. We know that space is vaccum so there is no chance that air can be sucked by black holes as air is not present there where black holes are formed.

Why do black holes like to consume substances near it?

We know that the object which has gravity pulls the object near it which has less gravity. As black holes have huge amount of gravitational force, every object near it even light get into it.

What will happen if a black holes comes near to it, not as much ?

If this happens then there will be a disturb in the balance of our Solar System. There will be an adverse effect on the planets, with Sun and the asteroid belt which can harm us. And if it gets too much close than it can eat the whole Solar System.
